What Is An Avatar?

According to Wikipedia, an avatar is a computer user's representation of himself or herself, whether in the form of a three-dimensional model used in computer games a two-dimensional  (picture) used on Internet forums and other communities.

What does this mean?  It means a cartoon picture which you can use to represent yourself - I expect you've seen them on forums on the internet, where people, instead of having a photo of themselves will have a cartoon picture which represents them.  The picture can range in design, for instance on one forum I visit I've seen a picture of an eye, while another person has cartoon picture of a cat.

Zwinky is also an avatar, and is a girl which you can dress up in different clothes, change her hairstyle and jewellery depending on your mood.  She can be used on blogs, websites and also on emails, and would be great to have by your signature.
